Snow pack effects white water rafting

Are you planning a trip to go White water rafting in Alberta?

The snow pack information is looking promising.

Every year we watch the snow pack at Skoki Lodge, the headwaters of the Red Deer River. The lodge is located a couple of mountain ranges into the Rockies and north of Lake Louise about 5 km or 3 miles. Unlike the front range, there is plenty of snow back there at that altitude.

As of today at the lodge, there is more snow already this year than the total amount of last year. And with still more than 2 months of precipitation yet to come it is definitely looking good. Be ready to have a great time on the river!

Start planning your rafting trip now. If you are hoping to organize a rafting trip for a Saturday; they are the busiest days of the week and go first. If you are organizing a group and you want to go rafting on a Saturday, you should be making plans now like many others. Don’t miss the raft and wait too late.

Otter Rafting can offer you the Best rafting experience on the Red Deer River. We’ve proved it time after time.
