Otter Rafting Adventures has been operating for more than 25 years
by the same owner,
on the Upper Red Deer River. When it comes to experience - we
have it!! We operate a safe, efficient,
customer and environmentally friendly business. Our rafting
centre is the perfect place to start your day in comfort.
Rafting the Upper Red Deer River, we have helped make it one
of Alberta’s
most popular rivers for whitewater fun
and is considered second best in all of Canada for a
fun whitewater trip!
The Upper Red Deer River is a
class 3 river
which offers a wide variety of whitewater rapids that will
constantly challenge and thrill you with just how much
fun whitewater
rafting really is. Whitewater rafting is something that nearly
everyone should consider doing at least once in their life. We
hear about the bucket list all the time!
Safety
Our guides are extensively trained in river and
people skills and hold certificates in:
- Swift Water Rescue
- First Aid
- CPR
Our equipment is of the highest quality and well maintained.
Otter Rafting Adventures
uses only whitewater rated equipment. It is perfectly designed
for the conditions in which it is used. The safety equipment we
use is rated for persons weighing 30 kg (65 lbs.) or more.
We Provide
All river running equipment including certified guides,
whitewater life jackets, paddling jackets, helmets, waterproof
camera cases, lunch and shuttle service.
Our trips run everyday from May 15 to September 15, rain or
shine! If you have a special outing in mind for your group, we
can put together a package for you. Group rates are available
with pricing for mid-week trips.
Accommodations
If desired,
hotel and motel accommodations
as well as
camping, R.V. parks
and
B&B's are
readily available in the area.
Responsibility
Each
participant accepts all risks involved in rafting. Neither
Otter Rafting Adventures, or its
owners, or personnel will be responsible for any damages,
injuries, losses, delays or expenses, whether to person or
to property, due to any cause whatsoever. A signed
liability release will be required of every participant at
the start of the trip acknowledging the risks. We
reserve the right to alter the itinerary or to cancel a trip
in the event of inhospitable conditions or insufficient
bookings.
